City Description

Sydney, capital of New South Wales and home of 4,5 million people , is the Australia’s number one city.

It is a global leading city which can offer entertainment for a huge amount of people.

Sydney starts its history in 1788 like a penal colony for the British Empire while before that , it has been the home of the Australian aboriginal for thousands  of year and from the moment that the deporting of criminals stopped , Sydney started a huge development of this own.

Sydney is a huge city full of attractions like the Opera Teathre, Harbour Bridge and the famous Bondi Beach.

Other small attractions are the numerous museums , Darling Harbour , Chinatown and many others.

Sydney doesn’t have a rapid transit system that serve its metropolitan area , but can offer an effective suburban railway and bus networks.

In Sydney probably move could be quite difficult due to the underdevelopment conditions of the means of transport compared to the European capital cities, but a bit of practice it would not be a big problem.

Sydney own an amazing ferry system that can give you a breathtaking view of the city.

The use of transport system from customers is possible with the purchase of tickets or the acquisition of the opal card , a rechargeable magnetic card that allow you to travel , after 8 rides for free till the end the week and Sunday just at the price of 2,50 dollars.

Sydney is an amazig city  fr having fun and the most popular places are Kings Cross , an area renewed for its brothels and for the cheap backpackers , the CBD with more sophisticated disco club like IVY , a really popular pool disco , and Darling Harbour with lot of pub in front of one of the most beautiful harbor in the world.

Lot of small pub where is possible enjoy the evening can also be found in Bondi area and the beautiful borough of Manly which is just 20 minutes of ferry from the centre.

The hotels in the city are a lot and most of them are really expensive but for cheap travels a big amount of really nice hostel is available where in most of them you can book your next Australian adventure straight away.

Sydney has not only Bondi Beach but it also have other many beautiful beach , some  of them also hidden like Tamarama , Manly , Cooge , Watson to arrive at the beautiful Palm and Whale beach.

If you are a lover of the gastronomy Sydney can give you a multietnical cuisine in fact you can give find a restaurant from all over the world.

Of course eat in a city like Sydney can be really expensive but it easy find cheaper restaurant especially in areas like Kings Cross, Edgecliff, Watson and Chinatown.

If you like nice historical and quite walk just take yourself in the many parks around the city like Hyde Park , The Chinese Garden of Friendship, the beautiful Botanical Garden, where you can see plants from all over the world, the historical area of the Rock or take a long walk from Bondi to Cooge through the magnificent coast.

And why don’t take a train and go to see the outside of Sydney like the park of the Blue Mountains , a huge canyons just two hours from Sydney, Morriset, where you can take a funny selfie with Kangaroo , or Jervis Bay to feed some friendly dolphins.

Sydney is still a city of opportunities also if it has seen a surpass in growing from other cities like Melbourne or Perth.

Sydney is a touristic city so the largest and most influent sectors are hospitality and entertainment.

It is as well a city where the affluence of the immigrants is huge especially from October to January and this can make pretty difficult your job and accommodation research.

Really popular are the sectors of construction and gardening , where you can work for the many park of the city.

Life in Sydney can be more expensive than the rest of Australia in fact rents here are double that normal one in country towns.

Really nice areas for living are concentrate in the western part of the city like Pyrmont, Starthfield and the Italian area of Five Dock while area like the eastern suburbs or Oxford area are pretty expensive.
